Info

Welcome to the 2015 Top of the Town Contest, hosted by City Pulse and WLNS. This popular annual contest allows locals to vote for their favorite people, places and businesses in the Greater Lansing area.

There are seven main categories and 115 subcategories. You must vote in at least 15 subcategories to have your votes count. You may spread this number out through multiple main categories.

Like last year, we are breaking up the contest into two parts. After the first round of voting from now until April 14, the top five contenders will then battle it out in the "Final Five" runoff contest from April 22 until May 12- so come back and vote again for your favorites! Note: Nominees keep their votes from the first round. Winners are announced in the May 20 issue of City Pulse!

Winning a Top of the Town Award is some major bragging rights for locals, so be sure to support your top picks.

We started the contest by automatically adding some choices from the 2014 voting cycle, but we depend on the public to enter in their choices for each subcategory, so feel free to submit your nominees! If you don't see your favorite listed alphabetically, check at the bottom of the list. If not, nominate away! Also, be sure you're entering the proper spelling of your nominee.

How it works

Each time you vote, you can select one of the choices someone else has nominated or you can nominate your own by entering them on the ballot – but please check the list and make sure it’s not already listed to avoid duplications. Look alphabetically first, but check the end of the list as well.

You must vote in at least 15 subcategories for your ballot to be accepted.

IMPORTANT: If the business you are nominating has more than one location, be sure to indicate as specifically as possible which location, such as "Cedar" or "West Lansing." Also, be sure to enter the correct spelling of your nominee.
